These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Dime's website, waitlist, accounts, applications, AI-assisted features, connected-account features, and related products and services.
Dime is registered in Utah and is operated from the United States.
These Terms are a draft. Before publishing, Dime should have qualified counsel review the financial-services disclaimers, AI disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute-resolution terms, payment terms, privacy cross-references, and any state or federal financial-services obligations.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using Dime, creating an account, joining a waitlist, connecting a financial account, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Dime.
If you use Dime on behalf of another person, company, or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Dime. You may use Dime only if you can form a legally binding contract with us and are not barred from using the service under applicable law.
Dime is currently intended for users in the United States. If Dime later supports users outside the United States, these Terms and our Privacy Policy should be updated before launch in those jurisdictions.
3. What Dime Does
Dime is a personal finance product that helps users understand financial activity, spending patterns, account information, preferences, and related financial context. Dime may provide summaries, insights, calculations, simulations, reminders, and AI-assisted responses based on available information.
Dime is currently designed as an informational and advisory tool. Dime does not move money, execute trades, apply for credit, cancel services, contact merchants, make purchases, or take autonomous financial action for you.
4. Dime Is Not Financial, Legal, Tax, or Investment Advice
Dime is not a bank, broker-dealer, investment adviser, accountant, tax adviser, lawyer, credit counselor, or financial planner. Dime does not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, credit, insurance, or other regulated professional advice.
Any information, analysis, summaries, insights, projections, simulations, or suggestions provided by Dime are for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating information from Dime and making your own financial decisions.
Dime does not guarantee that you will save money, improve your credit, reduce debt, increase investment returns, avoid fees, qualify for financial products, or achieve any particular financial outcome.
5. AI-Assisted Features
Dime may use AI-assisted features to help answer questions, summarize information, identify patterns, and generate explanations based on available data. AI-assisted outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, unsupported, or not appropriate for your situation.
You should verify important information before relying on it. Dime may design systems to cite supporting information, apply safety checks, and limit unsupported claims, but those systems do not guarantee perfect accuracy.
Dime does not use AI to make final decisions for you or execute financial actions on your behalf. If Dime introduces action-taking features in the future, those features should be governed by additional terms, authorization flows, and approval records.
6. Accounts and Security
You may need to create an account to use some Dime features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep that information updated.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must promptly notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Dime if we believe your account has been compromised, used in violation of these Terms, used unlawfully, or used in a way that creates risk for Dime, users, service providers, or others.
7. Connected Financial Accounts
Dime may allow you to connect financial accounts through Plaid or another financial data provider. By connecting an account, you authorize Dime and its service providers to access, process, and store information from that account as needed to provide Dime and as described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you own or have authority to connect each financial account you link to Dime. You must not connect an account if you do not have permission to access or share its information.
Financial account data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, duplicated, categorized incorrectly, or changed by your financial institution or data provider. Dime is not responsible for errors, outages, delays, or omissions caused by banks, financial institutions, financial data providers, networks, or other third parties outside Dime's control.
Disconnecting a financial account may limit or disable some Dime features. Data retention after disconnection is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Privacy
Your use of Dime is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, how long we keep it, and what choices may be available to you.
If these Terms and the Privacy Policy conflict about privacy practices, the Privacy Policy controls for that privacy issue unless these Terms provide a more specific user obligation or service rule.

10. User Content
You may submit prompts, preferences, messages, support requests, feedback, files, and other content to Dime. You are responsible for the content you submit and represent that you have the rights needed to submit it.
You grant Dime a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, analyze, and use your content as needed to provide, secure, support, maintain, and improve Dime, comply with law, and enforce these Terms. This license does not transfer ownership of your content to Dime.
Do not submit content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, confidential to another person, or that you do not have the right to share.
11. Third-Party Services
Dime may rely on third-party services, including financial data providers, financial institutions, authentication providers, hosting providers, AI providers, payment processors, analytics providers, email providers, support tools, and security tools.
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Dime is not responsible for third-party services outside Dime's control, including their availability, accuracy, security, data practices, or decisions.
12. Waitlist, Beta, and Early Access Features
Dime may offer waitlist, beta, pilot, preview, or early access features. These features may be experimental, incomplete, unavailable, changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
Joining a waitlist does not guarantee access to Dime or any specific feature. Beta and early access features are provided for evaluation and may contain bugs, errors, or limitations.
13. Fees and Payments
Dime may currently be free, paid, or partly paid depending on the product stage and features available to you. If Dime offers paid features, we will provide pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before you purchase or subscribe.
If you purchase a paid feature, you authorize Dime or its payment processor to charge the applicable fees, taxes, and other amounts described at checkout. Payment processors may handle payment information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Before publishing, Dime should confirm whether this section should describe subscriptions, renewals, cancellation windows, refund policy, taxes, free trials, or app-store billing.
14. Intellectual Property
Dime and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in and to Dime, including software, designs, interfaces, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, models, prompts, workflows, documentation, and other materials, excluding user content.
Subject to these Terms, Dime grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Dime for its intended purpose.
You may provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, or comments about Dime. We may use feedback without restriction or obligation to you.
15. Disclaimers
Dime is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dime disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Dime does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, complete, current, or available at any particular time or location. Dime does not warrant that financial data, categories, calculations, insights, AI outputs, simulations, or recommendations will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some disclaimers may not apply to you.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dime and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, lost data, loss of goodwill, financial losses, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dime's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Dime or these Terms will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to Dime for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim arose; or (b) [one hundred dollars ($100)].
Before publishing, Dime should have counsel confirm the liability cap, excluded damages, enforceability, and whether any consumer-law exceptions must be added.
17. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Dime and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, service providers, and licensors from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or relating to your use of Dime, your content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your violation of third-party rights, or your unauthorized connection or use of a financial account.
Before publishing, Dime should have counsel confirm whether this section should apply to consumers, business users, or both.
18. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Dime at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Dime at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, used Dime unlawfully, compromised security, failed to pay amounts owed, or if we discontinue the service.
After termination, some provisions of these Terms will continue to apply, including provisions about intellectual property, privacy, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and governing law.
Information retention and deletion after account closure are described in our Privacy Policy.
19. Changes to Dime or These Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of Dime at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law, such as by updating the date above, posting a notice, sending an email, or requiring acceptance of updated Terms.
Your continued use of Dime after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
20. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Before publishing, Dime should decide whether disputes will be handled in Utah state or federal courts, through arbitration, or through another dispute process. Arbitration clauses, class-action waivers, jury-trial waivers, small-claims exceptions, opt-out rights, and consumer-notice requirements should be reviewed by counsel before inclusion.
